Who this notice covers
This notice explains data handling on Carpet Mahal, an English-language website about rugs and interiors. For privacy questions or requests, use our contact form. The site does not offer visitor accounts or a shop checkout.
When you browse
Our hosting and delivery services, including the Sites hosting platform and Cloudflare infrastructure, receive technical information needed to deliver and protect the website. This can include your IP address, the requested address, browser information, time of request and security information. Infrastructure providers may process technical logs under their own service policies.
When you contact us
The form collects the name, email address, topic and message you enter. Your email address lets us reply to your enquiry. Please do not include payment details, identification documents, medical information or other sensitive information.
The server forwards the submission to FormSubmit, which delivers it to our contact mailbox. The mailbox is hosted by Google Gmail. Your form content is therefore processed by these providers to deliver and manage the enquiry. The website does not create a separate permanent database of submitted messages. Copies can remain in the mailbox and in provider systems according to their retention practices.
Spam prevention
The form uses a hidden spam field, a minimum submission interval and a short-lived request limit. For the request limit, the server uses an IP-based counter with a ten-minute counting window in transient server memory. This protection does not require an advertising cookie and is not a permanent account profile.
Google advertising
Carpet Mahal has a Google AdSense publisher verification meta tag and an ads.txt publisher entry. Advertising script loading is currently paused across the website while consent management is completed. These verification methods do not themselves request advertisements.
When advertising is enabled, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses and other identifiers to deliver and measure ads, limit repeated ads and, where permitted and consented, personalize advertising. We will update this notice and provide the required consent controls before enabling that processing. Cookies and preferences
We currently do not load advertising or optional analytics scripts. The rug planner runs in your browser and does not send your measurements to us or save them to local storage. Essential infrastructure functions may operate as needed to deliver and secure the site. See our cookie and advertising choices page for the current status.
Purposes and retention
We use enquiry data to respond to requests and manage relevant correspondence, and technical data to operate and protect the website. Contact correspondence is retained while needed for the enquiry, associated follow-up or applicable recordkeeping requirements. Retention in hosting, email and delivery systems is also subject to the providers’ own policies; we do not promise immediate deletion from every backup.
Providers and international processing
Service providers may process information outside your country. Relevant notices include Cloudflare’s privacy policy, OpenAI’s privacy policy, FormSubmit’s privacy notice and Google’s privacy policy. Third-party websites linked from our guides operate under their own policies.
Your requests
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict use of information about you, object to certain processing or withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Contact us through the form with a clear description of your request. We may need to verify the request and consider applicable retention requirements. You may also raise concerns with the relevant data protection authority.
